All About April Q3: Animals in Literature

Who is your favorite animal in literature?

There certainly are plenty to choose from. Some are villains, some are heroes. There are talking animals that might be smarter than the humans in the story and some who just rely on their animalistic intelligence. And like their human counterparts, some characters get a happy ending and some have the most tragic of endings.

Personally, I tend to like my fictitious animals with a little deviousness and a hint of mystery. Oh and if they talk it’s an added bonus. The raven from Edgar Allan Poe’s poem, the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, and Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy are some of my favorites.
